About PMP Metal Finishing

Providing Quality Finishing Services Since 1968

Gary and Nancy Giese started Precision Mold Plating in 1968 in the basement of their home in Colgate, WI. The business quickly flourished and they moved to their first location on Emily Street in the City of Waukesha two years later in 1970. Over the next ten years they grew their business, established their client base and slowly outgrew their space. In 1980 they moved to Ellis Street, a location that consists of two buildings, and where we still remain today. During this time, all of the Giese family members worked for the company at one time or another; however, it is their son, David Giese, who worked with Gary on a regular basis since he was a young boy. David came to work as often as he could during the school year, worked every summer, and once he finished school, came to work with his father full time. David slowly began assuming responsibility for the business and eventually took over completely in July 2010 when Gary passed away.

"PMP" began by plating plastic injection molds with hard chrome, and then started plating other metal hardware, hydraulics and electrical components with a focus on slowly adding tin, then silver and finally phosphate. Over the years, market changes and demands of the area industry have dictated a change in the direction of the company. We no longer offer hard chrome plating or phosphate coatings. This change in the focus of the business led to the change in the name. "PMP" gives a nod to the company history, and Metal Finishing more accurately describes the broader range of services that we now offer.

PMP Metal Finishing, Inc. offers over 40 years of experience and knowledge. Both David and our Production Manager have been actively working here and perfecting our methods for over 30 years each. We are a small company that can give you specialized, personal attention; yet we have the ability to service nationwide organizations such as Eaton Corporation, Generac Power Systems and GE International. Our production line is shut off from the sewer system. We evaporate our plating water/baths and bake our waste down into a solid that can be safely disposed of in the spirit of being good citizens. We offer reasonable prices and free local delivery is available - please contact us for a quote!
